French Oak

Species:
European Oak – solid.

Finish:
1. Oil Finishes. Based on a centuries – old European formula, a special three-step oil system is applied to the flooring after installation, protecting the wood and providing a rich, low-luster finish. Oil finishing is recommended fro all commercial applications.
2. Wax Finishes. The traditional American method, finish your floors after installation with our special paste wax, machine buffing to a luxurious protective sheen.

Installation:
French Oak should be nailed and glued on a sub floor. For more specific instructions, please go to the NWFA’s website and follow their guidelines.

Construction:
The solid plank is milled from French white oak and distressed to provide a convincing, naturally worn appearance. Scarring and surface marking are produced without repetition. Edges are irregular and worn. French Oak flooring lets you step back in


tiime while enjoying the benefits of today’s precision milling and perfect tongue and groove fit.

Kiln dried for added dimensional stability and fumed to permeate a rich natural tone throughout the thickness of each profile, choose from three handcrafted colors.

Warranty:
French Oak vintage hardwood flooring is guaranteed to create a distinctive old world charm. A rough unfinished product, French Oak flooring is warranted to include unique custom distressing coupled with precise milling for a perfect tongue and groove fit.

French Oak vintage hardwood flooring is shipped with a modest amount of end splits, which many customers suggest add to the character of the product. Allow up to 5% waste when ordering flooring for cross cutting and removal of unwanted knots and end splits.

French Oak warrants its vintage hardwood flooring against manufacturing defects caused by improper milling and grading. Damages caused by improper transportation, storage and installation are not covered. Bois Chamois will assume responsibility for defects that exceeds 5% of the original purchase and will replace material only, excluding the cost of transportation, storage and installation
